Are you suffering from any of these health challenges?
- Sports injuries
- Aches & pains
- Ligament damage
- Lower back pain
- Poor circulation
- Strength or balance issues
- Old surgery issues
Good news, we can help you with short term relief and long term recovery through our range of proven treatments.
How can we help?
We offer more than just the treatment of symptoms. We aim to identify the root causes of the pain, discomfort and lack of mobility you might be experiencing.
We take a holistic approach to your wellbeing. Instead of fixating on one specific issue, we take the time to learn about your background and understand what led to your current situation.
Treatment is always gentle, non-invasive and tailored to the individual. It can range from traditional massage therapy through to Lymphatic Drainage and Ortho-Bionomy.
What is Ortho-Bionomy?
Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle, self-corrective approach to dealing with ingrained, long-held pain and tension.
It often enables long term, long-lasting positive results by changing the body's 'memory' of past trauma and rebalancing the nervous systems in a deep and interconnected way.
Ortho-Bionomy was originally developed by Dr Arthur Pauls, a British Osteopath and Judo Instructor, as a gentle way of working with injuries and pain without the use of force.
The treatment process
Step 1: History and background
Before treatment begins it's important that we have a full understanding of your background, your history of illness and injury, and any other stressors or challenges in your life.
Emotional stress can often manifest as physical pain, so the more we understand your situation the more successful treatment can be.
Step 2: Initial treatment
Next we'll make you comfortable on our massage table. Don't worry, you won't need to remove your clothes or get into any weird or uncomfortable positions!
We'll begin with identifying the areas of pain and discomfort, establish some of the root causes, and work towards reducing pain, increasing range of movement and bringing the body back into balance.
Step 3: Follow up and self-care
It's completely up to you how many times and how often you come for treatment. We usually recommend an initial series of four sessions over two weeks, then reassess.
In some unusual cases full and lasting relief can be achieved in one session but it's far more likely your body will take time to adjust to the "new normal" and not revert to past bad habits.
Meet Jenny
Jenny's clients describe her as kind, informative, easy going and fun.
She is trained and qualified in Applied Massage Therapy (Level 6) and associated alternative therapies including Manual Lymphatic Drainage (level 1 and 2) and Ortho-Bionomy (still in training).
Jenny loves helping people with body pain, trauma, physical and emotional needs. She embraces a challenge and enjoys the fact that, just as no two people are alike, so no two therapy sessions are alike.
Most of Jenny's clients are referred by other clients. They often mention how much they enjoy the contact, release and improvement in their range of movement, plus improved breathing and how they learned more about their body during a session with Jenny than they ever had before.
